Gov. Ron DeSantis is holding a news conference Thursday morning where he named a substitution for Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), who was tapped by President-elect Trump to lead the State Department.While a few names have been drifted, Florida Lawyer Common Ashley Testy developed a frontrunner for the position some time recently DeSantis made an official announcement. Other names on the waitlist included Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nunez (R) and the governor’s chief of staff James Uthmeier. DeSantis too talked with Reps. Kat Cammack (R-Fla.) and Cory Plants (R-Fla.) approximately the position but raised questions almost culling a official from the House in the midst of razor lean GOP edges in the chamber.
